HMONG SGU VETERANS MEET WITH GOV. TIM WALZ TO ASK FOR FUNDING

3HMONGTV News (03/02/2023) - Today Hmong SGU veterans met with Gov. Tim Walz and lawmakers in hopes of getting state aid to preserve history of Hmong veterans who fought alongside the United States in the Secret War in Laos. Noah Vang representing the Hmong SGU veterans, says having a space for Hmong vets to memorialize their services and to create programs to teach people about the sacrifice Hmong vets is long overdue. Gov. Walz says he will find ways to move this initiative forward and hopes that both sides of the aisle will agree. Hmong vets attending the meeting say this is hope and know that it will take time.
