Minnesota's Hmong Community Celebrates Hmong American Day (HAD).

Today, May 14, 2018, marks 43 years of Hmong families evacuation out of Laos.  Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed May 14 as Hmong American Day in Minnesota. To commemorate this important day in Hmong history, there will be event of blessing at the Hmong and Lao Memorial statue at the MN State Capitol to honor those who had lost their lives defending freedom during the Secret War in Laos.  The event continues into the evening at White Dragon Hall where there will be speakers to reflect on the war in Laos.
