3HMONGTV NEWS (12/11/2024) – More than 300 people attended an event called General Vang Pao Legacy Day at the Buasavanh Banquet Hall in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on December 8. Members of the SGU Veterans and Families of USA, Inc. say they are pushing for the state to recognize December 8th as General Vang Pao Legacy Day. Although it’s not official yet community leaders and those we talked to are optimistic. December 8 is the birthday of the late General Vang Pao. In the past, it was merely a birthday celebration to remember General Vang Pao. After 13 years of his passing, members of SGU Veterans and Families decided to change its name to General Vang Pao Legacy Day.
