Description

Producer: Mitch Lee Host: Padee Yang Guest Photos: Derlee Moua Padee Yang had a chance to sit down with Cha Yia Lee who for over four decades had volunteered his time and talent whenever he could to serve the Hmong community. He was one of the early Hmong pioneers in acting, music, dance, radio talk shows in Laos. You can spot Cha Yia emceeing for various events and organizations throughout the years. With a bubbling personality and a youthful smiling face, Cha Yia is always there when it comes to serving his community. A little over a year ago, Doctor told him he had cancer. Even with the bad news, he's still in good spirit and, of course, always with a smile. We wanted to thank him for taking the time to talk with us. It's such an honor. We thank him for serving the Hmong community. We hope by telling his story will inspire others to do the same. We also wanted to thank Derlee Moua for providing photos used in the interview.
