3HMONGTV NEWS (05/31/2019) – Faculty, parents, and students enjoy games and food on a hot day at Hmong College Prep Academy in St. Paul. More than 2,000 students are currently enrolled at Hmong College Prep Academy according to Dr. Christianna Hang, Superintendent at the Hmong charter school. There are a dozen of organizations participated in the event such as the MN State Patrol, St. Paul Police, Ramsey County Sheriff, and the St. Paul Fire department. Students get an opportunity to learn more about these organizations and the work they do. However, the highlight for this year is the more than 3,000 McDonald’s happy meals provide to students made possible by local sponsors. Pang Thao and Kay Yang, CEOs of Hmong Home Healthcare Inc. and AK Equity Group say it’s a great feeling to give back to the community and see the smile on these student’s faces. Both remember growing up as kids they were not so lucky as these students to have happy meals for lunches during the school year.
