Saint Paul City Councilmember Dai Thao Announces New Leadership Role in Faith-Based Community Organizing
SAINT PAUL – Today Councilmember Dai Thao announces he will be leading Sarasota United for Responsibility and Equity (SURE) as their new Executive Director in Sarasota, Florida. SURE is a faith-based organization that seeks justice for the poor, working-class, and mixed-income individuals and families living in Sarasota County. With this new role, Councilmember Dai Thao will be vacating the Ward 1 office by August 1, 2022.
Reverend Wayne Farrell, co-chair for the SURE Board of Directors states: “After a nationwide search spanning over a year, we have found the right candidate to take our organization into the future. SURE is pleased to have hired Dai Thao as our new Executive Director. Dai’s extensive experience in public service and community organizing has prepared him well to serve as our next Executive Director.”
