It is with our deepest sorrow that we officially announce the death of our beloved father, former Lieutenant Colonel Tou-Fu Vang (RLA/SGU). Our father passed away at 2:45 p.m. on November 26th, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to our father’s last breaths, he was surrounded by six of his seven children, and his wife of 35 years, Seng Yeng X. Vang.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, (Ret) Lt. Colonel Tou-Fu Vang’s eldest son, Tong Vang, buried our father on December 1st, 2020, without consulting or informing his wife, five children, extended relatives or community members, and issued a press release without the permission of the family. The family is at a loss for words for this act but will focus our efforts on planning a celebration of life to honor former Lieutenant Colonel Tou-Fu Vang’s work, his community, his faith, and his life. Our family looks forward to sharing this occasion with everyone.
Due to the current COVID pandemic we will not be able to celebrate our father, brother, uncle in a way that would be fitting for the life he lived at this time. His wife, along with most of his
children and in collaboration with immediate family will plan for a celebration of life event later in 2021 when times are more appropriate for us to come together safely and peacefully.
