LAST GATHERING BEFORE PEANUTS SCULPTURES HEADED TO CHINA

3HMONGTV NEWS (03/20/2018) – The MN China Friendship Garden Society held a gathering to celebrate the successful fundraising and gift exchange for the St. Paul – Changsha Friendship Garden on March 20th. Nkauj Hmong Lucy, one of the four peanuts sculptures, will be representing Hmong Americans in Changsha, China. All four sculptures will be heading to China in mid April as a gift exchange project. Linda Mealey – Lohmann, President of the MN China Friendship Garden Society, says she’s happy to see the completion of the sculptures. Linda thanks everyone for making the project possible and says that this is just the beginning. Volunteers and donors were invited to attend the event to bid farewell to the statues.
