Kou Moua, President of the MN Peace Officers Association (MNAPOA), says the organization has been around for ten years. This is the first ever annual banquet where family and friends are invited to come and get to know more about the organization. He also encourages young people who are interested in law enforcement to contact the organization.
Sgt. Jim Yang of the St. Paul Police Department talks about the history of the organization and says it has come a long way. He thanks former St. Paul Chief John Harrington and others for helping to start the association. Sgt. Yang also says one of the accomplishments is the 2017 National Asian Peace Officers Association conference, hosted by MNAPOA, where officers from around the country come and share their experiences and training.
The banquet ends with raffle drawings and entertainment.
