3HMONGTV NEWS (01/27/2024) – Community leaders and elected officials, including Gov. Tim Walz, Senator Tina Smith, and Mayor Melvin Carter, celebrate the life of Tou Ger Xiong, a Hmong American activist, comedian, and storyteller. Tou Ger Xiong was kidnapped and murdered in Colombia in December of last year. Today hundreds of people pay their respects and honor his legacy. Tou Ger Xiong advocates for social justice and bridges cultures. He makes people laugh and smile. Tou Ger Xiong will be buried at Oakland cemetery in St. Paul on Monday, January 29th.
