3HMONGTV News (03/10/2024) - Members of the Hmong 18 Council hold a press conference to give an update on the newly purchased building which will be used as a community center as well office spaces for staff. According to Kong Patchay Xiong, President of Hmong 18 Council, says they acquire the building which is located on Minnehaha Avenue in the Frogtown area for an estimated $1.8M. The organization received about $3M from the legislature in 2023. The additional cost to remodel is around $1M. The organization will need to comp with with $600,000 to match the state $3M. Kong Patchay says he's optimistic about the support from the Hmong community.
